This update will highlight four areas of work on the renovation of City Hall. First is the work on the exterior of the west side of the building. The retaining wall for the stairs is being installed along with the retaining wall for the parking lot. These areas are highlighted in the following photos:

The steps on the east side of the building are being given a new foundation. It was discovered that clay under the old foundation for the steps created settling over the years. This required that new footings be poured to give a stable base that will last for another century. The steps were removed in pieces which look like large building blocks.
